The unique Seaventures Dive Rig, a former oil-drilling platform “based in the heart of the coral triangle” and “located off the north east coast of Borneo, Malaysia, just 1km from the white sand beaches of Mabul and only 20 mins from Sipadan’s world famous dive site” (?!), now converted into a dive resort.
There are about three million oil rigs and platforms scattered throughout the world’s waters. As underwater oil fields start to dry up a decent percentage of them—no one seems to know the exact figure—have already been abandon or fallen into misuse.
